The availability of your VOD and live streams can be affected with short interruptions.
Rediraptor – How it works
Our CDN checks the popularity of an asset or live stream and if an asset or live stream becomes popular it will automatically be distributed to bursting servers.
This ensures that there is always enough server capacity available when an asset or live stream becomes popular.
The Rediraptor system also ensures that your viewers are automatically load balanced between the available media servers. Making sure that your asset or live stream is always available.
After our new update has been executed, it is not possible anymore to address assets directly. This is what we call ‘Anti-Rediraptor-Bypassing’.
Rediraptor – Anti-Rediraptor-Bypass
Please read the following carefully, if you are not using the Rediraptor URL to address your assets and live streams at the moment:
- Every asset and live stream request made should be requested through a Rediraptor URL.
- After the upgrade your assets will not be delivered anymore if you do not use the Rediraptor URL.
- If you are not using the Rediraptor URL at the moment, we urge you to start using it for all assets and live streams.
- You can generate Rediraptor URLs with the Embed Code Generator which you can access via the web interface of your account or through the SOAP API.
